Saturday Club

Today we had our very first Saturday Club, where we introduced The Design Process to a fantastic bunch of creative youngsters, parents, and grandparents.

Everyone got inspired and ‘stuck in’ to the creative projects we set. Starting out with some fun drawing activities to get everyone warmed up, we then introduced the design process, and set a project for participants to design a solution to something in life that they really don’t like.

DRAWING ACTIVITY, TO GET EVERYONE WARMED UP

Using our design process, participants came up with some Initial Ideas to use in their designs, then Refined these ideas and Pitched their designs to each other.

Design ideas included:

  • Chocolate Peas so that grown up think you’re eating your greens.

  • Running Robots to do PE for you.

  • Invisible Ink to stop you getting told off for writing on your hands.

  •  Devices which wake someone up if they steal all the covers.

No end of fun solutions to problems in life!
