Bridges Youth Club

Last month we were at Bridges Youth Group in Bransholme, Hull, working on some exciting projects with their members. 

After introducing design and creativity, through some Creative Thinking warm up exercises, we set a real design brief to design a logo for DAN; The Dyslexia Adult Network. 

We’d seen the competition to design the new DAN logo, and we thought it was a great opportunity to allow our participants to get stuck in to a design brief for a real client. By entering the competition, participants could win a £50 iTunes voucher, giving them the chance to get paid for their creativity.

We were really impressed with the creativity shown by the participants, many of whom have dylsexia themselves, and so could understand first hand how it felt, their frustrations, but more importantly the positive attributes dyslexia can bring. We think this really comes across in their creative solutions to the brief.

The closing date for the competition is at the end of August, so great work everyone, and fingers crossed!
