Chewing Gum Gone!

WITH BRANSHOLME COMMUNITY ARTS ENTERPRISE

With funding from Bransholme Trust we ran workshops with Bransholme Community Arts Enterprise (BCAE), to create individual pieces of artwork which showed what Hull meant to the young people taking part, which were to be painted on to the side of specially designed chewing gum bins.

The workshops involved participants:

1.  Working as a team to come up with ideas. Collectively the group decided to design artwork based on the Venn Diagram (which was designed in Hull), using the psychology of colour to show how ‘Hull Made Them Feel’ with the overlapping circles of colour.

2.  Researching their ideas, how they linked to Hull’s past and present day

3. Sharing ideas, and getting feedback from each other

4. Experimenting and creating final pieces to present to North Point Shopping Centre.
