Take part
You need to take part in an arts activity
Here’s a few suggestions of activities you could do:
Create a self portrait
Draw a comic strip to tell a story
Make a model
Use apps or software to design something
Create a moodboard

Before you start - tell us what you going to do as your Arts Activity
Use the prompts below to help you answer each of the questions.
You could filll this in on the powerpoint or worksheet, or record your answers as an audio or video file if you prefer.
Tell us:
(A1) What arts activity will you be doing?
In a few words, describe what you will be doing. You might be doing a painting, dance, drama, music, sculpture, craft, film, or something else creative.
(A2) Describe what you will be doing
You might tell us about any materials or equipment you will use to complete your arts activity, or list some of the steps you will go through to complete your work.
(A3) Describe up to 3 things you would like to try or get better at through the arts activity
You might want to try a new technique
Learn to use different materials
Perform more confidently
Improve how you finish a piece of work
Or something else!
Here’s some examples of how another young person has answered these questions

This young person has told us clearly what arts activity they are going to do. They're going to create coins and characters inspired by the Vikings. They have said they are using clay, but they could have described in a bit more detail what equipment they need to complete the work.

They have listed three things they would like to get better at by completed the arts activity. These are good and very clear things to aim for!
Now take part in your arts activity
(A4) We want to see pictures of your work as you go along. You could include:
Pictures of you working on your arts activity
Pictures of any draft work
Pictures of the work as it progresses
Pictures of the final piece.

Tell us what part of the activity you liked the most and why it was your favourite.(A10) Was there anything you didn’t like doing?

This young person designed their own character. They have shown us their final piece, and some of their draft work. They have also told us what materials they used to create their character.

They also made a coin to go with their charcter. Here they are showing us some of their research, and a picture of them creating their coin. This is great because we can see the process they went through. They have clearly described what is in each of the pictures they've shown us.

They have inluded a photo of their final coin and explained a little bit more about how they created it.

Here they tell us what they learnt from doing their arts activity, and some of the skills they developed. It would have been good to know what they enjoyed, and anything they didn't enjoy about doing their arts activity.

They've described some of the other arts activities they would like to try. That's quite a big list! Your list might be shorter than this, or longer. They've typed this up but also shown us some of their hand written notes.
