Silver Unit 1 Part B: Implement your Arts Challenge

You need to:

  • Carry out everything in your action plan from Unit 1 Part A

  • Reflect on your progress at regular stages as you work through your action plan

  • Review at the end of how well your arts challenge went

Download the worksheet or the powerpoint template below to help you complete this section.

If you don’t have powerpoint you can open the template in google slides instead.

Start the Arts Challenge you set yourself in Unit 1 Part A

If you have skipped Unit 1 Part A you need to go back and make sure this is done, before starting this part.

As you work on your challenge, stop at 2 or 3 stages to reflect on how it’s going.
Try to choose a time to stop near the start, in the middle, and towards the end of your project.

At each point, show us examples of what you’ve been working on and tell us:

  • How are your skills developing?

  • Is anything going particularly well?

  • Is there anything you find challenging?

  • Do you need to adjust your action plan?

Remember to also get feedback from other people as you go along - this was part of your planning in Unit 1 Part A!

Final Reflection

When you’ve completed everything in your challenge, you’ll need to do a final reflection or review.

Remember not everything has to be written. If you don’t like writing you can record your answers as an audio or video file.

  1. Did you achieve your arts challenge?

  2. Did you have to change your action plan or your challenge in any way?
If so, what changed and why?

Sometimes plans don’t go exactly as expected.
Did you need to make any changes along the way?
What did you do differently, and why did you decide to make that change?
How did it help you finish your challenge?

  3. What went well? Why?

    What were you happy with?
Why do you think these parts were successful?

  4. What was more challenging? Why?

What did you find difficult or unexpected during your challenge?
Why was it hard, and how did you deal with it?
    Did you find any solutions?

  5. What have you learnt from doing your arts challenge?

What new skills, techniques, or ideas did you learn?
Did you discover anything about yourself as an artist or about your art form?

  6. How have your art form skills developed?

Which specific skills have improved? Try to be as clear and specific as you can.

  7. What would you do differently another time?

If you did this challenge again, would you plan differently, try a new technique, or manage your time in a different way?

  8. What did you think about the feedback you received from others? Include their reviews!

What did other people say about your work?
Did they like it, or did they suggest improvements?
How did you feel about their feedback, and did it help you see your work differently?
