KCOM Digital Club

Children and families working together - using digital tools to learn about animation, illustration, and 3D design

Across a series of workshops, young people have experimented with digital illustration, animation and 3D design, turning their ideas into finished pieces and working towards Arts Award qualifications. What made this programme special was the family element. Parents, carers, grandparents, and even curious siblings joined in, learning side-by-side and discovering new skills together. For many, it was their first time using creative design tools - and the results have been brilliant.

Along the way, children met real designers, explored creative career pathways, and saw just how broad the digital world can be. Families gained a deeper understanding of digital creativity too, helping them support their children’s interests at home.

Here are some galleries of work completed during these workshops!
